This training focuses on "how" to teach individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
Take your teaching to the next level! The majority of this training is hands-on learning!!
Participants will learn "how" to effectively teach skills to individuals using applied behavior analysis (ABA) strategies.
Individual IEP and ELP (or current planning tool) goals and objectives will be broken down into "how" to teach and "how"
to incorporate into functional activities across the day. Many suggestions of functional activities will be given out
at the training.
You will learn:
- The functional activities
- How to incorporate your objective/goal within a functional lesson that the individual will understand
- ABA strategies that will enhance your skill level
- How consistency in everyone's teaching practices is a vital role in your individual's success
- How to create user friendly data sheets that all team members can use to track your individual's progress
- How individuals with autism and developmental disabilities understand and acquire the skills that we teach them
- How to collect and average data on strategies learned
You will practice all of the strategies so that you can ask questions during the training!
